Who doesn’t love a good surf and turf, right??? Hi, it’s Nick from TheFood-E and Dana from Miami Food Porn.

One of our favorite weeks of the year is almost here: South Beach Seafood Week!

There are a bunch of awesome events happening all week but we are most excited about Crabs, Slabs and Cabs happening on Thursday, October 18th at the Shelborne South Beach.

And we have good reason to be excited: we are co-hosting this VIP experience!

We had a chance to sit down with the participating chefs to get the inside scoop on what’s coming to this epic surf and turf event!

What’s Happening At Crabs, Slabs and Cabs

This South Beach Seafood Week event features Menin Hospitality; all of their amazing chefs will be showcasing their take on fine-dining surf and turf pairings. You can expect incredible creations from the Shelborne South Beach, Mondrian South Beach, Root and Bone and Bodega Miami Taqueria & Tequila.

The common theme among the Menin chefs is simple: they plan to wow you.

They’ll be serving up restaurant-caliber dishes not typically served at “food events”.

In short, guests will be enjoying a super-exclusive South Beach with food that is truly next level.

In addition to unlimited five-star cuisine, guests will indulge on different wines found only in California. If you’re a wine lover, you’re in for a real treat.

Louis Martini and Fleur de Mer vineyeards produce some of the best Cabernet Sauvignons we’ve ever had. We can’t wait for you to try them!

With each Chef’s creation perfectly paired with a delicious wine…Crabs, Slabs and Cabs is unlike anything we’ve attended before. That’s why we jumped at the chance to co-host it this year!

You know we had to mix a little fun into the night. We’ve planned a few surprises for guests above and beyond the unlimited food and wine. We are keeping them a secret, but we can give you a little hint:

We’ll be serving up cocktails in a seafood paradise that you won’t believe until you see it with your own eyes!

Crabs, Slabs and Cabs Menu

Chef James Versfelt from the Shelborne South Beach will be creating a Grilled Jackman Ranch Wagyu Tomahawk Steak and Alaskan King Crab Legs Scampi. The flavor profiles this dish brings when they both come together is insane.

Chef Donald Anderson from the Mondrian South Beach is bringing the heat. He is creating Berkwood Farms Berkshirk Pork Belly and Soft-shell Crab Sliders. We ate these so fast we forgot to take a photo…therefore you’ll just have to come out on October 18th to see (and taste) them!

A crowd favorite, Chef Bernie Matz from Bodega Miami Taqueria & Tequila is creating Stone Crab Tacos and Short Rib Tacos. Yes, you read right…STONE CRAB TACOS!!!!

Chef Jeff Mcinnis and Chef Janine Booth from Root and Bone are featuring Gulf Blue Crabcake with a Grilled Churrasco Steak.

Oh, and let’s not forget on top of all that amazing food, you can’t skip the classic Crab Boil! Get ready to crack some claws folks.
